webshop, why?:
Whenever I work on a series I take hundreds of pictures of every
single setting. More often then not, pictures I really like don´t
fit with what I want to tell at that particular moment and they
end up never seeing the daylight.
For example: The four deer pictures were made at different times
and in different settings, I immediately liked all of them, but
as they did not relate to any theme I was working on, I never did
anything with them. I showed them to a friend though and she asked
whether I could have one or two of them printed on a smaller scale
than usual for her ... and that is how the idea of offering them
as a special series of small prints through my own website.
the "deer
series":
I started building settings involving deer figures after a nightly
encounter with a deer during a drive back home through the forest.
This "magical" and somehow emotional moment stayed with
me and now living in the city again, I realize how cut off from
nature ignorant of any kind of "wild" life we here are...

"new phoenix series":
The "New Phoenix” series is
made up of several small format and a couple of larger pictures.
They all have a dreamy, foggy, slightly unreal athmosphere in common.
The figures seem lost, or at least, alone, in a world that is not
quite real ... Some of the small ones and one larger one are in
the shop ... enter
and some practical info:
tech: I chose to have them printed directly on
aluminum, it gives the pictures a nice matte feel, and this direct
print is less fragile then mounted photo paper. You can hang them
on your wall immediately as they come with a hanging system on the
back. All you need is one nail in the wall.
order: As soon as you order you will get a confirmation
mail from me. The shipping will take approx. 16-18 days as I do
not have a stock but have the prints made when they are ordered.
They come in a sturdy cardboard box, and they are signed and numbered
by me.
